“SELF” Vol.1

“Drawing inspiration from my experience working at VOGUE, I aimed to create a featured story in this lookbook showcasing my personal styles”

Inspired by Jacques Derrida's postmodern philosophy, I delved into the relationship between the body and clothes and the concept of deconstruction in fashion. My own insecurities and lack of confidence in my body shape drove me to experiment with different styles of clothing as a form of self-expression and protection. I deconstructed five pieces of clothing I frequently wear and transformed them into unique and innovative designs. Through this project, I sought to challenge my own perceptions and preconceived notions about my body and fashion.

I was drawn to the beauty of the CMYK printing system and, as a result, decided to incorporate its theme colors into the color palette of this lookbook. I took the concept of deconstruction and applied it to the design, splitting the letters of the title and headlines like particles breaking apart in physics.
